I call this image Parroting a Poverty Mindset

As I make my home in Lisbon, I am exploring this new concept of the way people tend to think about money here.  When I saw that image, money is a scam, the text is kind of hard to see, you kind of lean in to look.  Did I, did I see that right? Who thinks money is a scam? What does that mean? How is money is a scam.

I was trying to capture this theme and tell a photographic story about the concept of money, and the way that people think about it.

Money is not really designed that way. I mean, I want my viewer to look at that and start to break apart these unhelpful beliefs about money because we are a society that depends on money.  And so, there’s all kinds of contrarian ideas around money that I’m hoping that the viewer will honor and investigate.
