I call this image Steward of Earth

Here is protest, and I saw a group of people linking hands through these. Like, the Chinese finger traps that we used to play with us kids? 

And it made me think back to being in the USA when they started to figure out some protests around climate change, the Dakota pipeline and they were chaining themselves to the pipelines.  Here this group was, interlocking and blocking off a street.

So, you know, the same purpose was served. It was just one of those moments where I had to compare and contrast what is this thing that I’m looking at now? And I still look at that photo and I’m like, you know, how does this work as a protest? Is this a successful thing or is this something that could be improved upon?

I’s very contrarian to me as well. But either way, I’m I’m always very interested in what my audience, what the viewer thinks about the photo.
