This Image is called You Wield the Red
So this photo was taken of my friend Jon during the, celebration of the 25 of April in Portugal. This is a very important date. It was very interesting to see, like, my friends, getting to connect to that event. And, I think it was, cool to shoot him so he could be present in that specific moment. And he was mingled, on the crowd, whichI thought it was very, funny.
I took a precise photo of of his cell phone, filming him with his backpack with, carnation flower, which was really nice because that’s the red flower that symbolizes the, the freedom in Portugal.
It was very cool to get that photo of him during this, Portuguese national holiday.
It’s interesting when you have to tell these people the problems that our country had and, the freedoms that we got with this, revolution. It’s important for them to know a little bit, a little about our history. That’s why we went outside to take photos of all the, Portuguese people that were on the streets.
It was very important for me to put them on the picture as well. Like celebrating this moment, like putting them as a Portuguese person, to feel that moment to to relive that moment, even if they, only live here for a couple of years. But now they have the true feeling and the worth of this, that.
