Reframing Home brings together eleven photographers, ten who have recently moved to Lisbon from around the world, and one who was born here and is watching his city transform.
Each explores the questions: What does it mean to belong? What does it mean to call a place home?
The project grew from shared photo walks, regular outings where the group explored the city through photography. Inspired to exhibit together, they used their images to reflect on place, memory, and the process of finding where they belong.
The photos trace the emotional journey of migration, arrival, exploration, isolation, and the moment a new place starts to feel like home.
This work invites you to look beyond the surface and consider how identity, memory and belonging take shape in a shared and changing city.
